ASO ( SEO for apps ) in a nutshell
Everyday, most of us wake up on his & her phone light, checking social media, emails, bank accounts..
Maybe using a website, or an installed application from app stores ( App Store or Google Play … )
But have you wondered someday, why your favorite web apps, websites or applications ranked in the top level ?
When you open an app store, using your fingers (or maybe the voice recognition) you search for an app “Call Recorders, Ringtones App” or whatever is you are looking for, here you help the app owner to make it ranked, and rated and more used by people , and that is ASO.
ASO — stand for App Store Optimization, It is the process of improving & optimizing a game or application in the goal of making it visible by the world, while people exploring, surfing and searching on app stores
Improving the CR ( Conversion Rate ) have also a place beside you to watch the movie , in order to improve it you’ll need to increase the traffic
But how this Conversion rate will do that ! Actually, when you tape “Download this app” from any Apps Store
ASO have two names, “ASO” and “SEO for Apps” …
What about Visibility ?
Your app is undetectable so app fans won’t find it in the store, Oops! Your app would not climb the highest mountains then ( don’t worry, read until the end and you will do, and yeah i’m sure about this ).
Searching, Exploring, Top Charts matters , but try to make your app present on the Similar / Related / Featured list of apps.
Without forgetting optimized language, this will make your app global , available worldwide , so that most countries will use it !
ASO main — goal ?
Mmm … something like “More Organic Downloads” … Yeah !
Generating maximum number of organic downloads, two child will born from here :
#1 Maximizing Visibility : it’s about making it more than visible on the stores, and bring it to the attention of the audience.
#2 Conversion Rates : I think we talked about it.
Reducing UA ( User Acquisition ) is present with them.
Investment time . . .
getting non-organic downloads have an impact on visibility and organic downloads, so that’s why the more you can pay for Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Snapchat Ads, Instagram Ads and Whatever.. Ads the more you get it done.
Note : What you (we) need to know is that, years ago, competitors were not a problem , but nowadays , you should pay more to make your app go above their apps 😉
Your patience is required ! Don’t get nervous 💪
Listen to the clock ticks and wait, improve your app , work on it, and wait for results ( it’s a matter of days ).
Country, budget are on the list of the things that results can depend on
Measuring the success of ASO ?
Tracking, using KPIs ( Key Performance Indicator ) , use those metrics :
- Keywords Ranking
- Ranking Top Charts
- Featured Tracking
- Conversion rate to visit
- Conversion rate to download
- Ratings and reviews
- Organic downloads (search)
- Organic Downloads (Explore / Browse)
- Organic enhancement
- Income
Another Hint : What is not measured cannot be improved !
Finally yet importantly !
Being effective, strategic, and do not giving up is more required than focusing only on ASO ( or SEO ) , and this will bring you an unexpected results of an app, or a game success on the market !
